Who is the Messiah?
According to Prophet Isaiah
Scripture Text # 10
The
Messiah would be a gentle spirit filled servant.
The Prophecy
Isaiah 42:1-4
"Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom
I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will bring
justice to the nations. He will not shout or cry out, or
raise his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not
break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In
faithfulness he will bring forth justice; he will not falter or
be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law
the islands will put their hope."
The
fulfillment of Prophecy Matthew
12:18,19
"Here is my servant whom I have chosen,
the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will proclaim justice to the nations. He will not
quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets.
Matthew 3:16,17
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up
out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw
the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.
And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love;
with him I am well pleased."
Matthew 17:5
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and
a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with
him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"
