The Messiah would go through suffering that would change His appearance.  

The Prophecy     Isaiah 52:14 

"His appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man."

The fulfillment of Prophecy        Luke 22:44.

"And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground."
