Powerful Promises

When Feeling Disturbed

This is what the Dictionary says;

Definition: to upset the natural and especially the ecological balance or relations of <land disturbed by dumping>
2 a : to destroy the tranquillity or composure of b : to throw into disorder

Synonyms: 1, agitate, bother, discombobulate, disquiet, flurry, fluster, perturb, unhinge, upset

This is what God promises:

II Timothy 1: 7

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Isaiah 41: 10

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strength thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

I Corinthians 14: 33

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.

James 3: 16-18

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work: But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

I Peter 2: 6

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture. Behold, I lay in Sion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

Isaiah 50: 7

For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Psalm 55: 22

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Philippians 4: 6, 7

Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.

Psalm 110: 165

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Psalm 30: 5

For this anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Isaiah 43: 2

When thou passest through the waters, I wil be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neight shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Psalm 147: 3

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Philippians 4: 8

Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
